Jarvis’s Ramblings

Ministry Info

Campus Crusade for Christ was started by Bill and Vonette Bright in 1951 at UCLA. Since then it has grown to become the largest Christian missionary organization in the world. Campus Crusade has over 25,000 staff in 191 countries. The vision of Campus Crusade is to help build spiritual movements everywhere so everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus Christ.

Jarvis has served in various technology roles with Campus Crusade over the last 14 years. Currently he serves as the Systems Management Architect at Campus Crusade’s world headquarters in Orlando, Florida. He is creating an enterprise level system for managing the entire life-cycle of computer deployment and management. This system will provide a more stable and reliable computer system that will enable our staff to focus on their ministry instead of trying to figure out why there computer isn’t working correctly. The tool he is using for this is Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007. Jarvis is an active member of the SCCM community on myITforum.com where he posts as jdavis375.

Jarvis and Julie are part of the supported missionary staff of Campus Crusade. As a result, their salary is paid through donations from a team of individuals who donate to Campus Crusade specifically for the work that Jarvis does. Campus Crusade doesn’t have any central funds for paying salaries. If you’d like more information about donating to enable his work with Campus Crusade, please use the contact form to send Jarvis a message. You can also visit Campus Crusade’s online giving site if you’d like to make a donation. Jarvis and Julie send out a regular prayer letter about their ministry. If you would like to receive a printed or emailed version, let Jarvis know via the contact form. You can also see an archive of past prayer letters.
