Covenant Eyes Crashing

I heard back from Covenant Eyes about the crashes that I had been experiencing. This is an issue that was introduced with an upgrade that they released on January 17. They are still working on fixing the issue, but they did send me a link to be able to download the prior version. The version that introduced the crashing issue is 4.2.7c. I have downgraded CE to version 4.2.6b which was working without crashes.

If you have been having issues with CE crashing, not staying logged on, etc, you might want to try uninstalling the current version and using 4.2.6b until they resolve the issues. They will email me when they get the issue resolved, and I will post here again.

  1. Thanks for your comments. We did get a few calls at Covenant Eyes about 4.2.6c. With our newest version, 4.2.8 (http://www.covenanteyes.com/download/) we have worked out the majority of those problems.

Feel free to download the newest version and if there is still a problem we’d love to talk to you in our Help and Support Center (1-877-479-1119). Thanks again for your comments: its from Covenant Eyes members like you that we get some of our most constructive comments and are able to refine our accountability service.

  2. Luke,
Thanks for your comment. I had already upgraded to 4.2.8 and the problems still existed. My problems went away when I downgraded to 4.2.6b. I experienced these problems under 4.2.7c, 4.2.7d and 4.2.8. Many issues may have been worked out, but the crashing/logging out issue was definitely still there.

I have already been in email conversations with CE support, and my case was assigned to a programmer. They told me that they would contact me when they had fixed the issue.
